Information and support for customers

Covid-19 information

At Global Bank of Westernland, we understand that these are uncertain times and want to assure you that looking after our customers, colleagues and business partners is our number one priority.

We are monitoring the rapidly changing situation of COVID-19 and adhering to Public Health United States and Government guidance.

The Bank’s robust systems and processes will continue to enable service continuity with no disruption to our customers.

In this ever-evolving situation, should you have any questions or concerns and wish to speak with a member of the team please call us on +1 619 432 6620, or you can email us at info@gbwesternland.com.

What support is available?

We are following all guidance provided by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The FCA continues to reiterate that consumers should keep up with payments on their mortgage if they can afford to do so and should only seek support where such support is absolutely necessary. The latest Covid-19 related support available, in line with FCA guidance, is as below:

• Those who have not yet had a payment deferral will be eligible for payment deferrals of 6 months in total.
• Those who currently have a payment deferral will be eligible to top up to 6 months in total.
• Those who have previously had payment deferrals of less than 6 months will be able to top up, as long as total deferrals do not exceed 6 months.

For those customers who do not fit into the above scenarios, but continue to be affected by coronavirus, please contact us to discuss.

The above guidance will continue to provide support for those impacted by coronavirus until 31 July 2021, with consumers needing support to apply by 31 March 2021.

Covid-19 scam

Unfortunately, some fraudsters are actively trying to take advantage of the current situation. As always be vigilant to anything suspicious, including messages about COVID-19 claiming to be from your bank or asking you to make a payment, move money or provide any of your credentials. Remember, Global Bank of Westernland will never ask you for your full password or ask you to move money from your accounts. If you receive a communication which you are not sure of always refer to the website of the company who it claims to be from and contact them directly using the contact details on the website, not any supplied in the suspicious email.
